Santa and his Christmas helpers to light up Noosa

CELEBRATE the lighting of the Hastings St Christmas tree in Noosa tonight, November 25, from 5pm with XS Entertainment's Christmas elves, Santa's helpers and Santa himself.

Bring the whole family for this special fun, free annual event.

See the Hastings St tree lit in bright Christmas colours, follow Santa and his helpers to Main Beach and take home presents and lollies for the kids in attendance.

Under Milk Wood

UNDER Milk Wood is a generous, gentle, lilting piece by poet Dylan Thomas, punctuated by the delightful comedy and tragedy of daily life.

Narrators Errol Morrison and Rainee Skinner place us in a tiny seaside town, populated by extraordinary characters living ordinary lives.

We're privy to their dreams and nightmares, and then exposed to intricate details of their routines and relationships.

The cast includes Sunshine Coast favourites Frank Wilkie and Stephen Moore, delivering flawless performances in several different roles.

Tanya McCall, from Anthony Grundy's fabulously funny production of television's Let the Blood Run Free, is another stand-out in her Noosa Arts Theatre debut, with her comic timing and characterisation superb.

Liza Park's well-measured and thoughtful Under Milk Wood is not a fancy, fast-paced full-scale production full of theatrical tricks and glitz but refreshingly, it's a delightfully simple look at how pleasant, complex, fascinating and challenging our lives are.

This is your special invitation to look around and stop to appreciate the little things.

The season continues tonight, November 25, at 7.30pm and tomorrow, November 26, at 2pm.
