Russell Morris shows he's 'the real thing' in music

"THE Real Thing” Russell Morris returns to the Sunshine Coast on Thursday, November 3, with a gig at The Tewantin Noosa RSL to promote his latest album.

In 1969, Morris and producer Molly Meldrum released The Real Thing - Australia's only true psychedelic No.1 hit and a song that is played regularly on commercial radio to this day.

Following that, he penned breakthrough hits such as Sweet Sweet Love, Wings of an Eagle, Rachel, Part 3 into Paper Walls, The Girl That I Love.

In 2012, Morris released the Sharkmouth Album: the first of a trilogy of albums and collection of tunes written about Australian historical characters.

Sharkmouth reached No.1 on the iTunes Blues Charts and No.1 on the Australian Blues Radio Charts.

He won the 2013 ARIA award for Best Blues n Roots album for the effort.

The Aria Hall of Fame inductee, No.1 platinum artist and former King of Pop is "the real thing” in Australian music.

Doors open for this gig at 7.30pm.

Call 5447 1766 or visit the club in person for tickets, which cost $30 for club members and $35 for non-members.
