Noosa Australia Day Festival is fun for all

ORGANISERS of the annual Noosa Australia Day Festival are gearing up for another bumper day of entertainment, family fun, food and activities for the kids.

Monies raised at the festival, which is sponsored by the Noosa Shire Council and organised jointly by Tewantin Noosa Lions Club and Rotary Club of Noosa Heads, will this year go to local charity United Synergies to help its efforts to help local people who are homeless.

There will be a Rotary Big Aussie Breakfast starting at 7am, then Tewantin Noosa Lions club food vans until 3pm.

Nickleby the magician will be on stage and roaming through the crowd on the day performing magic.

Twisted Mr will be making balloon animals, hats, flowers and more for the crowd.

Luke's Reptile Kingdom will have interactive reptile shows throughout the day featuring non-venomous snakes, lizards, turtles and a saltwater crocodile.

Sofitel's Noosa Beach House Restaurant head chef Woody Theruerl will whip up some Aussie favourites with a simple gourmet twist.

These creations will be available on the day from his mobile kitchen.

Pony rides will be available throughout the day.

Noorsa Yacht Club will offer youth sailing for a gold coin and there will be climbing wall for the kids.

There will also be raffles and of course the CWA will host a cake stall with 100% of funds raised going to United Synergies.

There will be professional face painting and a professional hair fairy.
