New movie app available in 2019
SAMSUNG has revealed that it will offer iTunes movies and TV shows on its Smart TV models in a partnership with Apple.
A new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app is likely to be available on an industry-first app in Australia later this year (a date has yet to be confirmed) and will allow you to access your existing iTunes library and make purchases.
The app will be available on both Samsung's 2019 TVs as well as its 2018 models (after a firmware update). It is the first time Apple has allowed third-party devices to access its video library outside of Windows PCs.

The move by Apple is a significant shift from its strategy in allowing iTunes to be available on the products of its rivals and indicates it is focusing more on services revenue.
Samsung will also include AirPlay2, Apple's wireless streaming standard, which means you can access your favourite content from Apple products in over 190 countries across the world.
"We look forward to bringing the iTunes and AirPlay 2 experience to even more customers around the world through Samsung Smart TVs, so iPhone, iPad and Mac users have yet another way to enjoy all their favourite content on the biggest screen in their home," said Eddy Cue, senior vice president of internet Software and Services at Apple

Won-Jin Lee, Samsung Electronics' executive vice president of visual display business, said the partnership with Apple was about provide Samsung users with a broad range of content.
"We pride ourselves on working with top industry leaders to deliver the widest range of content services to our Smart TV platform," said "Bringing more content, value and open platform functionality to Samsung TV owners and Apple customers through iTunes and AirPlay is ideal for everyone."
