Coast designer hopes to find 'spark' with The Bachelor

SUNSHINE Coast fashion designer Lisa Hyde will be one of 24 women hoping to find a spark with The Bachelor's Blake Garvey.

The hunky, deep-voiced Perth real estate auctioneer is the second eligible bachelor to appear on the reality dating show.

The show had tongues wagging as two dozen beauties fell over each other to get the attention of inaugural Bachelor Tim Robards.

"I saw the ad on TV and I thought, 'You know what I'll probably never get on but what a fun and exciting way to meet the love of my life'," Lisa told APN.

"I didn't really follow the storyline too much (during the first season) until it got right towards the end (when) I thought, 'Maybe it is true; maybe you can find love on this show'."

Lisa, 27, who grew up at Coolum, runs her online fashion business Shev

oke from her home in Brisbane. When it came to meeting The Bachelor in person, Lisa said it didn't go to plan.

In the show's first episode, Garvey stands at the end of a red carpet to individually meet and greet each of the 24 "bachelorettes".

"I felt prepared in what I was going to say and how I was going to greet him on the red carpet, but as soon as I arrived in the limo nerves got the better of me and I was quite nervous," she said.

She has mixed feelings about seeing herself on TV when the show premieres on Wednesday, July 30 on Channel 10.
