Labyrinth features in drive-in movie tribute to Bowie

EUMUNDI Drive-In will host a tribute to David Bowie by screening some of his most popular music videos followed by the cult movie Labyrinth on February 27.

Starry Nights presents Labyrinth, a classic musical adventure-fantasy film (G), directed by Jim Henson, executive produced by George Lucas and based upon conceptual designs by Brian Froud.

The plot revolves around 15-year-old Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) and her quest to reach the centre of an enormous other-worldly maze to rescue her infant brother Toby (Toby Froud), who has been kidnapped by the Goblin King Jareth (Bowie).

Many of the significant characters in the film are played by puppets produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

Cost is $20 per car and $10 per person for walk-ins on the night at Eumundi Showgrounds on Black Stump Rd, off Memorial Drive.

To guarantee a spot on the night, pre-book your tickets at Gates open at 5.30pm with the Labyrinth screening about 7pm.
