Just the Lions' footy does all of the talking

YOU could hear a pin drop at Noosa Lions Football Club Girraween on Saturday with "Silent Saturday”.

This was a Sunshine Coast Football initiative where parents and coaches are encouraged to keep quiet while the kids play without the usual sideline noise and distractions from parents and supporters.

Some fantastic results by our junior teams at home including our under-13 Division 1 boys Blue team and under-14 Division 1 boys team continuing their winning runs and remaining undefeated and top of the table.

Our under-13 girls Yellow team had a hard-fought 0-0 draw to also remain at the top of the table.

Our Friday night, home teams took out both scalps with Over 35(2) beating NYU and our youthful Fourth Division side in blistering form against Coolum to win 7-0.

Premier Men travelled to Gympie on Saturday with both teams coming away winners 6-0 and 7-0 to keep our Premier Men's' squad now eight wins from eight games with full focus on the Premiership trophy.

Noosa Lions FC will also be showing Australia v France World Cup game on a massive six-metre screen on Saturday, June 16.

All are welcome so bring your blankets, bean bags, chairs for a great night.
