Injured man stuck on ledge flown to hospital

UPDATE 9.10pm

A man has been flown to hospital after falling at Booloumba Falls near Kenilworth.

Emergency services were called to the scene just off Booloumba Creek Rd just after 3pm on Monday afternoon.

It took crews some time before they could reach the man in his 40s.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the rescue helicopter left the scene shortly after 6.30pm.

The man was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

EARLIER 4.55pm

Emergency services have been called to assist an injured man believed to be stuck on ledge at Booloumba Falls.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said crews were called to the Booloumba Falls car park, off Booloumba Creek Rd, near Kenilworth just after 3pm.

The spokeswoman said the man in his 40s had fallen and has suspected spinal injuries.

It's understood the rescue helicopter has been tasked to the scene.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said four crews have been called out but they haven't been able to access the man.
