HE HAS been in eye-catching form this season, but Brisbane halfback Ben Hunt says he will be up against the NRL's odd couple Benji Marshall and Gareth Widdop in tomorrow night's finals eliminator at Suncorp Stadium.

The loser can plan a holiday in September, while the winner will live another week in the hope one more win, and some favourable other results, will see them sneak into the top eight.

Hunt, in the running for the Dally M player of the year in his first full season in the Broncos No.7 jumper, said it was almost impossible to plan to play against the enigmatic Marshall.

He also said Widdop's kicking game was up there with Melbourne's Cooper Cronk as the best and most feared in the NRL.

"I always look forward to playing Benji, I still think he is one of the best players going around," said Hunt who is enjoying some extra freedom with Ben Barba taking some pressure off him in attack and Justin Hodges creating even more attacking options at fullback.

"He's really starting to fit into the Dragons system and play some really good footy as you saw last weekend.

"He will be fired up and ready for a big game with so much at stake."

Hunt said he was enjoying the team's new multi-pronged attack, rather than most of the focus being on him.

"The more options you have in attack the better. Benny (Barba) has been improving every week and having Hodgo at the back brings another different dimension," he said.
