IF YOU'VE been struggling to find that elusive last Pokemon or want to join other enthusiasts on your quest to find more, today is your day.

More than 500 people are expected to flock to Maroochydore and Cotton Tree this morning for an organised group hunt of the creatures.

The family friendly walk has been organised by radio station Hot 91.1 in conjunction with Maroochydore gaming and hobby shop The Card House.

They have mapped out the best possible route from Maroochydore to Cotton Tree and back for participants to catch the most Pokemon in the shortest possible time, and they claim you can expect to catch more than 100 of the creatures during the two-hour walk.

That makes for an impressive tally, given there are only 150 different types of the creatures to catch, although the 100-plus you can expect on the walk will most likely include a few double-ups.

"We're hoping for a massive turn-out, the more the better," The Card House owner Kevin O'Connell said.

"We expect anywhere from 500 or more kids, fans and families to attend."
