Facing 28 charges, including stealing, attempted car theft

A MACKAY region woman faces more than two dozen accusations against her, including stealing and attempted vehicle theft.

Krystal Rose Marie Johnson, 26, appeared in the Mackay Magistrates Court on Thursday on 28 charges.

Johnson is facing 12 counts of stealing, four counts of contravening police, three counts of failing to appear for court and one count each of attempted vehicle theft and fraud.

Additionally, she has been charged with wilful damage, shoplifting, trespass, breaching bail, obstructing police, evading a fare and receiving tainted property.

No pleas were entered by Johnson, who is listed in court documents as living at North Mackay.

Defence barrister Phillip Moore asked Magistrate Damien Dwyer for Johnson's case to be adjourned for three weeks.

He was seeking additional CCTV footage relating to allegations against his client, after he was unable to view an initial copy due to technical issues.

Mr Dwyer wasn't particularly accommodating initially, but ultimately granted the adjournment.

However, the magistrate said it would be the absolute last adjournment before Johnson would have to enter pleas.

The case was pushed back until late February and bail was continued.
