Crooner offers early romantic Valentine's Day present
BRAD Leaver's Quartet is set to get hearts pumping for Valentine's Day.
Leaver, the lead vocalist, models himself on the Sinatra/Dean Martin/Tony Bennett style and will add a romantic touch to Sunshine Coast Jazz Club's next event on Sunday, February 12, at Currimundi Hotel in Buderim St.
Super-suave Leaver's velvet crooning has been melting hearts all over the world for 15 years.
Picture yourself dancing cheek to cheek with your loved one, to the music of a more refined and romantic era, when women in hats and gloves were wooed by handsome strangers in the night.
Indulge in a martini, sit back and relax to the smoky smooth vocals as Leaver combines "PhD intellect" with caveman machismo, mixed in a blend of pure swing guaranteed to grab even the most Sinatra-proof listener way down to the bottom of their soul.
Backed by a world-class piano trio led by musical director Ian Macrae, with Paul Hudson on drums and Jack Thorncrafton on double bass, this show will be an unforgettable event of swing and bossa nova classics.
Doors open at 12.30pm with the show starting at 2pm.
Members are $20, non-members $25 and seniors $22.50.
