Coles to unveil new-look store

RESIDENTS at Pacific Paradise will enjoy the smell of freshly-baked bread wafting through the aisles after the completion of an extensive upgrade to their local Coles supermarket.

Coles North Shore, located in the Centro North Shore shopping complex at 722-728 David Low Way, will officially unveil its new look to shoppers at 8am tomorrow morning.

The major refurbishment to the store is part of an investment of nearly $9 million by Coles on the Sunshine Coast in the past three years.

The store will now offer a greater variety of fresh produce and meats, and an expanded offering from its new in-store scratch bakery and delicatessen.

Coles state general manager Paul Bradshaw said: "Over the past three years we've spent almost $9 million building and refurbishing our supermarkets on the Sunshine Coast to make grocery shopping more enjoyable and convenient for our customers.

"We have also created more than 130 jobs in the past three years and this latest refurbishment at North Shore has resulted in the appointment of three more team members to the new in-store bakery, bringing the team total to almost 90."

Coles North Shore store manager Mitch Proestos said: "Coles has been part of the community at North Shore for almost 13 years.

"When we unveil the store's new look on Saturday, our customers can expect a fresher, brighter store.

"The team is eager to share and enjoy a greater fresh food offering with a new in-store bakery, expanded produce area and more variety, particularly in the deli department."

Coles said the store would also continue to support the local community and was in the process of finalising an educational program with Pacific Paradise State School.
