Coast sailors claim top-10 result at Hobart

SAILING: Sunshine Coast sailors Stacey Jackson and David and Andy Turton finished the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in eighth place aboard Alive.

The 22m yacht took 2days3hrs33min42sec, about 14hrs behind winner Perpetual Loyal.

Fellow Coaster Ashley Deeks and Ragamuffin finished in 19th place, crossing in 2days17hrs53min22sec while Andrew Scott and Black Sheep were 38th in 3days1hr56min18sec.

Veteran Coast sailor, Bob Robertson and his Bravo crew finished 42nd in 3days2hrs56min33sec.

They were 15th on handicap and winning division three, ahead of Black Sheep, leading into the fourth night of racing.

Milton Hampe and brothers Ian and Sam Coward were due to arrive late Thursday aboard Quest.
