Clarke backs launch of Noosa 'game-changer'
FORMER Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has thrown his support behind a 'game changing' new residential real estate business.
Clarke, one of Australia's all-time greatest batsmen with 28 centuries in 115 Tests, was the keynote speaker at the launch of Reed & Co last night.
The launch of the agency, headed by award-winning Noosa agent Adrian Reed, included a special auction to raise funds for the Clarke-backed charity, the Loyal Foundation.
"Playing international sport at an elite level means that you're constantly working on the many factors that combine to achieve high performance,'' the former captain and now sports commentator said.
"Noosa has many factors that combine to make it such a prized location for property and Adrian and the team at Reed & Co have got the runs on the board when it comes to prestige sales."
An A-List crowd of over 150 guests included founder and principal of Australia's largest sole partner advisory and accounting firm, Anthony Bell; and television presenter Kelly Landry.
Anthony Bell spoke of how he and wife visited Noosa for the first time in 2017 and fell in love with it, so much so that they purchased a Noosa home worth over $10m.
The Bell founded charity, The Loyal Foundation, was the recipient of a generous $6000 donation on the night courtesy of a generous auction bidder in the charity auction for a luxury helicopter experience courtesy of Ghost Air.
The Reed name is synonymous with real estate in Noosa spanning multiple generations and over two decades of real estate experience.
The son of local agent Don Reed, Adrian grew up in the Noosa area and has been one of the most successful agents selling premium waterfront property.
He was delighted to have Michael Clarke support the launch event for his new venture, held at the new Reed & Co headquarters at Gibson Road, Noosaville.
"I know Michael is passionate about property and he is also supportive of ventures which strive to achieve high performance," he said.
"Reed & Co has been established to be a game-changer in the Noosa property sector, and there is nowhere more exciting in the Australian real estate market at the moment than Noosa.
"Noosa, according to the latest Real Estate Institute of Queensland data, has eclipsed Brisbane and the Gold Coast as the state's strongest performing property market.
"Not only is the region the home of the rich and famous and offers an enviable lifestyle with great weather, food, coffee, beaches and rainforest, it is the hot spot for property."
Mr Reed said Reed & Co was a digitally focussed real estate company which already has $25million worth of listings, including multi-million-dollar Noosa waterfront assets.
"Reed & Co will be a filling a gaping opportunity to lead the regional real estate market globally, making greater use of technology to connect with customers while maintaining cost-effective digital and traditional marketing," he said.
"Our new, high-performance agency will be a trailblazer in the regional real estate sector and offer customers a highly personalised experience.
"Another point of difference with Reed & Co is our desire to collaborate with like-minded businesses for the benefit of our customers.
"We will be sharing our office space with these businesses who are in property finance, marketing and other related sectors and supporting one another's clients and aims."
