Christmas comes to Kunara marketplace

CHRISTMAS is coming to Kunara, as the organic marketplace prepares for its holiday extravaganza on Friday December 16.

An entire day's worth of free activities is planned, including a massive inflatable cinema which will be screening the Christmas film Elf, free popcorn, a scavenger hunt, market food stalls, creative crafts and even a visit from Santa himself.

Kunara's Marketing Manager, Erin Pyers says the store's staff wanted to get everyone to come together and enjoy a night of family fun, as it was their way of giving back to the community.

"We have so many families that support Kunara and shop with us, we wanted everyone to be able to come along to a free event and enjoy good food,” she said

"This is our way of giving back to the community at Christmas time.”

In the spirit of giving, Kunara partnered with charity organisation SunnyKids, which assists families in crisis across the Coast and invites families to add gifts to donation baskets so disadvantaged kids can still enjoy the magic of Christmas.

"We also have Orange Sky Laundry here on the night showcasing their van and raising money to support homeless people on the Sunshine Coast,” Ms Pyers added.

Along with this Kunara has also organised activities throughout the day for everyone to enjoy, including kids sunflower seed planting at the Garden Centre, an art competition colouring station, a scavenger hunt and Fresh Holistic Health next to Kunara is putting on a free family yoga session and free kids Christmas art competition.
