
Body of missing man recovered by police divers
THE body of a man who went missing in floodwaters at Larnook on Wednesday has been recovered by police divers on Saturday morning following days of searching by emergency services and police.
About 3.45pm on Wednesday, emergency services were called to Martin Road, Larnook, near Kyogle, following reports a vehicle driven by a 72-year-old man was trapped in flood water.

Police were told the man's vehicle was swept from a concrete causeway into Leycester Creek.
Officers from Richmond Local Area Command commenced a search of the area, with assistance from the State Emergency Service and Westpac Rescue Helicopter without success.
Following an extensive search, about 9.10am today, the body of a man was located in Leycester Creek, Larnook, by police and the State Emergency Service.
While the body has not yet been formally identified, it's believed to be the body of Derrick Matthews, 72.
Crime scene officers are in attendance and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
