77MM FALLS: When wild weather will lash Coast again
Hundreds of Sunshine Coast homes are without power this morning after wild weather lashed parts of the region for the second day.
Severe thunderstorms, hail, heavy rain and damaging winds hit areas of southeast Queensland on Wednesday, with about 100,000 lightning strikes recorded, most between midday and 6.30pm.
Storms cut power to more than 2000 homes
85k lightning strikes: When storms will hit again
The Coast's north was hardest hit by the downpour, with Pomona recording about 77mm of rainfall since 9am.
At 6am on Thursday, 30 homes in Doonan were without power, as well as 109 in Buderim and 186 in Pacific Paradise.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Felim Hanniffy said areas inland from Noosa copped the worst of the weather, but there were heavy rainfall totals across the region.
He said while a storm front was still moving inland to the coast, the region should get a reprieve from wild weather until the weekend.
The weather bureau predicts storms will move offshore in coming days as temperatures peak along the coast tomorrow.
Mr Hanniffy said heavy rain would return to the Coast on Saturday, with potentially large and severe storms before it cleared on Sunday.
WHERE THE RAIN FELL
Areas around the Noosa Hinterland were hardest hit by wet weather on Wednesday, with Pomona copping the highest totals in the region.
