10 fun things for kids to do before school holidays end

1. Harry Potter party

WHERE: Maroochydore Library

WHEN: January 17, 10-11am

COST: Free. Bookings essential

CALLING all witches and wizards! Recreate the magic of the iconic series with Harry Potter-themed craft and activities. This activity suitable for ages seven and over.

2. Library Activity Day

WHERE: Kawana Library

WHEN: January 16, all day

COST: Free. Bookings not required.

FAMILIES are encouraged to drop in and do activity sheets and puzzles. This activity is suitable for all ages.

3. Children's cycling course

WHERE: Meridan Sports Fields, Meridan Way, Meridan Plains

WHEN: Tuesday, January 17, 10-11.30am

THIS course is designed for children aged six and over. It will teach bike-handling skills and road awareness to help them to ride safely in low-traffic environments and on pathways. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are also encouraged to participate.

4. Mister Maker

WHERE: Lake Kawana Community Centre

WHEN: Tuesday, January 17, 1.30pm

5. Ocean Ranger program

WHERE: SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast

WHEN: Wednesday, January 18, and Friday, January 20

COST: $75 full day or $50 half-day per child

THE kids can join the Ocean Ranger Program where they can feed, touch and meet some of SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast's amazing marine creatures with behind-the-scenes tours, animal encounters, animal feeding and lunch included in full or half-day programs.

8. Cinderella

NOOSA Arts Theatre presents Cinderella, the traditional pantomime, in which Cinders is treated cruelly by her stepmother and stepsisters until her Fairy Godmother comes to her rescue. She sends Cinderella to the Palace Ball where she meets the prince and they fall in love. But her midnight curfew comes before the prince finds out who she is and he must search the kingdom to find her again. Cinderella is directed by Susan Dearnley.
